Climber Update
Ten climbers spent the night at camp three in good weather conditions. Everyone was in good spirits and definitely very tired. Erik Weihenmayer had a pretty bad headache throughout the night and early morning and Luis Benitez was suffering from some upper respiratory conditions but nothing serious. None of them slept very well but that is expected at altitude.
Steve Gipe left camp two at 6:00 a.m. and arrived at camp three around noon. He had a great day and arrived back at camp two with the other ten climbers safe and sound. Both Luis and Erik are feeling great today at camp two as well as all the other climbers. Eric Alexander made it back to base camp by 1:00 p.m. and is also doing well, just very tired after four nights of very little sleep!
The entire team will be leaving camp two tomorrow morning around 7:00 a.m. for base camp and some well, needed rest and showers!
They will also answer all their emails that you have been sending. Again, thank you for your patience, emails, thoughts and prayers.
